CV for Poland and the EU: format, RODO clause and documents for Uzbek citizens
A CV for Poland is a one-column English document (a Polish version is optional): no photo or date of birth is required, but a RODO clause sits at the bottom and a separate line states your basis of stay (visa or permit).
- Format: International CV
- Language: English, Polish
- PDF and Word
In short
Photo and date of birth are optional; visa or permit status is a mandatory line because the employer plans the timeline around it.
There is no simplified regime for Uzbek citizens: the employer obtains the permit, you obtain a D visa; seasonal work goes only through licensed agencies.

CV format for Poland: International CV and RODO
Private employers in Poland expect the standard European structure: name and contacts, a short profile, experience in reverse order, education, skills, certifications, languages and, at the end, additional information (basis of stay, availability) plus the RODO clause. English is enough for large agencies and factories; a Polish version is an extra advantage with small firms and foremen, but not required. The Europass form is requested by public programmes and universities; in the private sector it is losing weight.
| Section | What to write | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Header and contacts | Name as in passport, target job title, phone, email, city and country | Sardor Aliyev - Warehouse Operator (forklift) - Tashkent, Uzbekistan |
| Profile | 2-3 sentences: trade, years, equipment, shift pattern | Warehouse operator with 6 years in distribution centres, forklift licence, shift work |
| Work Experience | Title, company, city, month and year; 3-5 bullet points per job: volume, equipment, result | Warehouse Operator, Chinor Logistics, Tashkent - Jan 2022 – Present |
| Education | College or university, field, years | Diploma in Transport and Logistics, Tashkent Transport College, 2014 – 2017 |
| Skills | Technical: equipment, software (WMS, scanners); soft: independence, accuracy | Forklift (counterbalance), WMS scanning, pallet wrapping, inventory counts |
| Certifications | Equipment licences, safety courses: name, issuer, year | Forklift operator certificate, 2019 |
| Languages | CEFR levels; list Polish even at A1 | English - A2/B1, Polish - A1, Russian - Fluent, Uzbek - Native |
| Right to work, Availability | Basis of stay: do you hold a visa or permit, when can you start | Work permit and D visa required; available within 1-2 months after visa |
| RODO clause | Consent to personal data processing - in small print at the bottom of the CV | I hereby consent to the processing of my personal data for the purposes of the recruitment process... |
What the RODO clause is and why it matters
RODO is the Polish name of the EU data protection regulation (GDPR). At the bottom of the CV the candidate consents to personal data processing for recruitment; without it HR may not keep or review the CV and usually deletes it. An English CV may carry the clause in English or in Polish - the Poland template in the builder adds it automatically.
Photo, date of birth and personal details
In Poland a photo is optional: production and logistics employers do not ask for one; in services and retail a small business photo does no harm. Date of birth, marital status and nationality are not required - nationality shows in the basis-of-stay line anyway. What you must include: current location (city, country) and visa or permit status.
- Basis of stay: «Uzbek citizen, work permit and D visa required» or, if you already hold one, the permit type and validity. Hiding it is pointless: the employer arranges the permit and plans the timeline around it.
- Availability: honestly, allowing for visa processing - «within 1-2 months after visa».
- Phone in international format marked WhatsApp or Telegram; a serious email address.
- If you add a photo - light background, head and shoulders, plain clean clothes; not a document photo.
- Passport number, parents and family details do not belong in the CV.
Typical mistakes made by applicants from Uzbekistan
- Sending a CV without the RODO clause - the agency may delete it unread.
- Leaving out the basis of stay or writing a vague «I have a visa»: which visa and until when must be exact.
- Sending a Russian CV unchanged: HR in Poland may understand Russian, but the official language is Polish and the working language is English.
- Translating job titles word for word: instead of «loader» use the titles from the advertisement - Warehouse Operator, Order Picker, Production Worker, Welder (MAG/TIG).
- Omitting welding or equipment licences: an Uzbek certificate proves experience even if a local licence has to be obtained again in Poland.
- Hiding short seasonal jobs: 3-6 month contracts are normal in Europe; list them with dates and duties.
- Sending a Europass form to a private employer: unless it was requested, a standard international CV is read faster.
How hiring works: agencies, employers, visa
Working in Poland requires two documents: a work permit (zezwolenie na pracę) obtained by the employer, and a national D visa that you obtain at the consulate in Uzbekistan on the basis of that permit. There is no simplified regime for Uzbek citizens; a labour migration agreement between the two countries was being prepared as of May 2025. The CV works at the first stage: the agency or employer selects the candidate, then files for the permit.
Channels: licensed private employment agencies in Uzbekistan (register on gov.uz/migration) and Polish employment agencies; official European vacancies on xorijdaish.uz; direct applications via pracuj.pl, OLX.pl and company websites. Main sectors: manufacturing, logistics and warehousing, construction, agriculture. Seasonal work (agriculture, food processing) usually goes through an agency form; the CV is a supplement. The flow is growing: according to gazeta.uz (17.08.2026), 258 thousand Uzbek citizens work in the European region, 42 percent more than a year earlier; Poland had around 20 thousand Uzbek workers in 2024. Germany needs a different format (Lebenslauf); all countries are compared in the Chet elga section.
An unlicensed intermediary offering «a job in Poland, pay for the place» is acting against Uzbek law: consulting disguised as job placement carries a fine of 112.5 million soum (spot.uz, 08.2025). Check an agency via the Migration Agency helpline +998 71 202-33-55. Resum.uz is a document preparation tool: we do not publish vacancies and do not promise jobs or visas.
Language and certificates
English at A2-B1 is enough with an agency or a large employer; in a small firm you will deal with a foreman in Polish, so even A1 Polish belongs on the CV - it shows willingness to learn. Russian is understood in many Polish work crews, so list it as Fluent. In 2026 the Migration Agency runs «profession plus language» projects and covers 50 percent of language course costs (gazeta.uz, 21.04.2026).
Certificates get their own section: welding licence (with the method - MAG, TIG, MMA), forklift licence, electrical safety, occupational safety course, driving licence category. For some equipment Poland may require a local qualification certificate - clarify with the employer in advance. Translate the certificate name into English and keep the original in brackets.
Degree and documents
Trade jobs do not require degree recognition - a college diploma and certificates with translations are enough. Regulated professions (medicine, engineering) need diploma nostrification - a separate procedure. The visa package is assembled after the employer has received the permit.
- Passport - valid for at least 3 months beyond the visa and with blank pages.
- A copy of the work permit (zezwolenie na pracę) sent by the employer, and the employment contract or offer.
- Medical insurance and accommodation details - usually provided by the employer.
- Diploma and certificates with translations - to confirm experience.
- Police clearance certificate - via my.gov.uz, if the consulate or agency asks for it.
The visa form is completed on the consulate website; the document list is published on the Polish government portal gov.pl. Nobody should take an advance payment for a permit or a «place».
Building the CV in the resume builder
Fill in a standard resume for free in the builder, then switch to «Chet elga» mode and choose Poland: the template leaves out the photo and date of birth, adds the Right to work and Availability lines and adds the RODO clause at the bottom automatically. The «Chet elga» package translates the CV into English with AI (this is not a certified translation), proofreads it and exports a Word file; «Chet elga+» adds a Polish version and a cover letter. Reread the translation yourself: job titles must match the advertisement. Profession examples are in the resume examples section.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a CV to work in Poland?
Yes. The agency and the employer select the candidate by CV and then arrange the work permit for that person. Only seasonal work through a licensed agency uses the agency form instead - and even then a CV may be requested to confirm experience and certificates.
Which language should a CV for Poland be in?
English - enough for large agencies and factories. A Polish version is an extra advantage with small firms and foremen, but not mandatory. A Russian CV is not accepted as an official document in Poland.
What is the RODO clause and is it mandatory?
It is the sentence at the bottom of the CV consenting to personal data processing for recruitment; RODO is the Polish name of GDPR. HR may not keep a CV without it and usually deletes it. Written in English or Polish; the Poland template in the builder adds it automatically.
Which documents does an Uzbek citizen need to work in Europe?
For Poland: a work permit obtained by the employer, a national D visa issued on its basis, a passport valid at least 3 months beyond the visa, an employment contract or offer, medical insurance, diploma and certificates with translations. The employer obtains the permit, not you; paying for a place is against the law.
Is a photo required on a CV for Poland?
No, the photo is optional. Production and logistics employers do not ask for one; in services and retail a small business photo may be added. The Poland template in the builder prints neither the photo nor the date of birth.
Where can I find a sample Europe CV in English?
The sample on this page is a warehouse operator CV for Poland in English with the RODO clause. Fill it with your own details in the builder; other professions are in the resume examples section.
Does Resum.uz place workers in Poland?
No. Resum.uz is a document preparation tool: CV, translation and cover letter. Official placement goes through the Migration Agency (xorijdaish.uz) and the licensed agencies listed on gov.uz/migration.
