Why the advice «one resume for every country» fails
Employers in each country read a resume by their own habit. A German HR department expects the Lebenslauf to carry date and place of birth, nationality, a photo and a signature; a British employer who sees the same details sets the document aside. In Korea a resume is a table: the name in Hangul, age, visa status and TOPIK level sit in the first rows. In the Gulf the recruiter looks for visa status and current location; in Russia, for citizenship and a patent. So one generic English resume sent everywhere is mostly wasted: in Germany it lacks Persönliche Daten and a signature, in the UK it carries an unwanted photo, in Korea it is text instead of a table, in Poland it has no RODO clause.
The second reason matters more: in half of the destinations a resume is not part of the process at all - an exam, a roster and a quota decide. So before writing anything, settle who selects (a state programme or the employer), which language the advert names, and whether personal details such as a photo or date of birth are required or unacceptable there.

Germany, Poland, the Gulf, Korea E-7 and the UK Skilled Worker route - here the employer finds the candidate: reads the resume, interviews, then issues a contract and the visa invitation. In Germany even seasonal jobs require a Lebenslauf plus an Anschreiben (spot.uz, 25.09.2025).
Programmes where no resume is needed
Under the Korean EPS programme (E-9) the candidate registers in March 2026 through xorijdaish.uz, sits the EPS-TOPIK exam and enters the roster; the employer picks from the roster, no resume is sent. The seasonal E-8 visa goes through the Migration Agency and khokimiyats. The UK Seasonal Worker visa is issued only through the Agency operators - no English, no resume. Organised recruitment to Russia runs through trudvsem.ru, on a patent, without a resume.
Official channels: xorijdaish.uz, the Migration Agency and licensed agencies
In Uzbekistan organised recruitment abroad runs only through the Migration Agency (migration.uz, vacancies on xorijdaish.uz, helpline +998 71 202-33-55) and licensed private employment agencies listed on gov.uz/migration. In 2026, 48 agreements with 23 countries are in force, 124,500 people have been placed through organised recruitment, and 12 «profession + language» projects reimburse half of the language-course costs (gazeta.uz, 21.04.2026). Paying for a placement is prohibited: consulting disguised as placement carries a fine of 112.5 million soum (spot.uz, 08.2025).
- Check the agency licence number in the gov.uz/migration register - without it the agency may not recruit.
- A fee for a job, a quota or «a place on the list» is prohibited; salary and conditions count only as written in the contract.
- A fee for a resume in a programme that does not ask for one (EPS, seasonal visa) marks an intermediary.
How many Uzbekistanis work abroad and which destinations are growing
About 1.4 million citizens of Uzbekistan work abroad: 834,000 in Russia, 258,000 in the European region (up 42 % in a year), 84,000 in Kazakhstan, 72,000 in Turkey, 46,000 in Korea (gazeta.uz, 17.08.2026). Europe grows fastest - and there the employer selects by resume. The migration agreement with Germany was signed on 13.09.2024; 800 nurses left in 2024 and Germany has requested 40,000 more (gazeta.uz, 21.04.2026). The Korean E-9 quota fell from 130,000 in 2025 to 80,000 in 2026.
How to prepare a resume in the country format
