Frequently asked questions

Is the resume builder free?

Yes. Filling in the form and downloading the PDF is free. Premium features - AI proofreading of the whole text, extra templates and translation - are a separate one-time purchase.

What is the difference between a resume and a CV?

In Uzbekistan both words mean the same: a 1–2 page document with experience, education and skills. Internationally a CV is longer and used for academic careers.

Which language should I write in?

The language of the job post. The builder supports Uzbek, Russian and English; Premium translates the resume automatically.

Do I need a photo?

Most employers in Uzbekistan expect one: neutral background, shoulders up, open face. Selfies and party photos do not work. There is a no-photo option for foreign companies.

I have no experience - what do I write?

Education, internships, courses, volunteering and study projects. The Student template is built for exactly this: education and skills come first.

How long should a resume be?

One page for candidates without experience or with up to five years; two pages for long careers and management roles. A third page is almost never read.

Where do I send the finished resume?

Upload the PDF to hh.uz, ish.uz or OLX, send it to the employer directly in Telegram, or print it.

Where is my data stored?

The filled form stays in your browser. If you sign in, the resume is saved to your account and can be opened and edited at any time.

What exactly does the AI write?

A duties list for the role and a professional summary - for free. Premium reviews the whole resume: spelling, style, consistent formatting, and fills in the gaps.

Can I change the resume later?

Yes. Open the saved resume in your account, edit it and download a new PDF. The template can be changed later too.

Does it work on a phone?

Fully: the form, template choice and PDF download. The file is saved to the phone and can be shared via Telegram.

What a resume is and how to write one

A resume is a short, usually 1–2 page document about a candidate's education, experience and skills. Employers judge it within seconds, so a clear structure and the right emphasis decide the outcome.

A good resume has five core sections: contacts, professional summary, work experience (latest first), education and skills. Projects, certificates and languages are optional but often decisive.

The Resum.uz builder gives you exactly this structure: you enter the details, the template handles format, fonts and layout. The result is a clean PDF readable by both people and screening systems.

Resume sections: what to write

Contact details
Full name, phone, e-mail and city. No street address needed; Telegram or LinkedIn only if you use them for work.
Professional summary
Two or three sentences at the top: who you are, years of experience and the result you are proud of. It is the first text an employer reads.
Work experience
Latest job first: company, title, years. For each role 3–5 results - “grew sales by 20 %”, “led a team of 5”.
Education
Institution, field, graduation year. Students add GPA and relevant courses; certificates go in a separate section.
Skills and languages
Technical skills (software, equipment) and personal strengths separately. List languages with a level: A2, B1, C1 or “fluent”.

How to write a resume: 7 steps

  1. State the job title exactly as it appears in the posting.
  2. Contacts: phone, e-mail, city. Social profiles only if they are professional.
  3. Summary - 2–3 sentences: who you are, years of experience, key result.
  4. Experience - latest job first; 3–5 results per role, with numbers where possible.
  5. Education - institution, field, years. List courses and certificates separately.
  6. Skills - match the keywords of the posting: software, languages, equipment.
  7. Proofread: spelling, dates, consistent format. One page is enough in most cases.
